A Few Words
About Me
Find Your Path. Claim Your Freedom.
Nature doesn’t stay stuck, and neither should you. Sometimes the most beautiful views are found only after the most difficult climbs.
Life can feel like being deep in the brush without a compass. Whether it’s the weight of past trauma, the cycle of addiction, or the fog of grief, we all hit points where the trail disappears.
My name is Matthew Kelly, and I’m here to help you find your way through.
My approach to therapy is built on the belief that Freedom is our natural state. Not just freedom from pain, but the freedom to be your authentic self—the freedom to pursue your purpose, stabilize your emotions, and thrive in your relationships.

Where the Wilderness Meets the Clinic
I grew up between the wide-open spaces of Texas and the rugged peaks of Colorado. From an early age, I learned to embrace the “difficult” parts of a journey. Whether it’s navigating a ridge to reach the town on the other side or sleeping in a hammock off-trail, I’ve found that nature reveals things words cannot capture.
That same spirit of adventure has led me across the globe—from the mountains of Peru to the streets of Iraq and Haiti. These experiences taught me to appreciate the vast, beautiful diversity of the human spirit and the different ways we all seek connection and God.
Clinical Expertise You Can Trust
While my heart is in the wild, my foundation is deeply professional. I graduated from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 2011, a program that emphasized the true essence and highest professionalism of counseling.
I don’t believe in “virtual-only” shortcuts. My training was hands-on, rigorous, and deeply personal. Today, I hold specialized licenses across two states:
Texas: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Nevada: Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), Clinical Professional Counselor (CPC), and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC).
Whether we are utilizing CBT, DBT, or exploring spiritual and emotional healing, our work will be evidence-based and tailored to your specific “terrain.”

beyond the office
I’m a husband and a father, and most of my time is spent with my family. You might find us on a mountain trail with our dog, who, much like me, enjoys the freedom of running off-leash and chasing the occasional rabbit.
I know what it’s like to balance a owning a business and a professional career with a personal life, and I bring that grounded, real-world perspective into every session.
